Mission Statement

Our goal is to help people understand the extent to which the labor laws apply to their specific situations, be they employees, employers, or representatives of either. We do not provide legal advice without first having it approved by legal council that is expert in this field.

The Labor Board, Inc.  exists because the hard working, highly skilled and motivated men and women who work for the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage Hour Division are over worked and unable to provide the service to America that is wanted and desperately needed.

Non-compliant employers must spend money on fines and liquidated damages that should be spent to pay workers properly and comply with the law. The information and assistance that we provide should help keep these employers out of trouble with the government.

Furthermore, The Labor Board, Inc. exists to help workers, terrorized economically by uncaring employers, to help themselves. The litigation that results from virtually every case leads to people being made whole again. The federal labor laws prescribe minimum standards not maximum standards. Those of us at The Labor Board, Inc. are dedicated to the proposition that workers must be paid at least what the law says they are to be paid.

Attorneys and accountants are usually not expert in the Fair Labor Standards Act, and our information and assistance can be of great value to them as well, as they attempt to represent their clients

More About Us

The Labor Board, Inc. is a federal labor law consulting company. We are highly experienced former investigators for the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage & Hour Division; however, this private consulting company is separate and distinct from the U.S. Department of Labor. We have no legal or business relationship with any state or federal agency. We use the experience and knowledge we have obtained, through all the years of work with the government, to quickly and efficiently determine if working people have been paid in compliance with federal labor laws.

Questions regarding whether or not an employee has been paid in compliance with the law can usually be answered quickly.  If we determine that an employee has been paid in violation of the labor laws of our country, we are prepared to discuss courses of action that can be taken very quickly to resolve their problem. Often the way to resolve the problems employees have is through the civil litigation process. In order to meet our clients litigation needs, we have assembled a staff of hard working, concerned attorneys who have a great deal of litigation experience in this specialized field of law.

The staff of The Labor Board, Inc. consists of former USDOL, Wage Hour Division investigators who have in excess of 52 years of experience in this field. This experience can be put to work to bring employers into compliance through self audits or to assist employers representing themselves in front of the USDOL. We are also uniquely qualified to be of assistance to lawyers and accountants who most represent their clients in labor law matters.

All initial consultations, either with The Labor Board, Inc. or one of the participating attorneys, are always provided at no cost.
